about Rawhide Western Town and Steakhouse:

Gunfights, sundown cookouts, and panning for gold are all in a day's work at Rawhide Western Town and Steakhouse, Arizona's largest western-themed attraction. After 35 years in its original north Scottsdale location, Rawhide has moved to Wild Horse Pass in the Gila River Indian Community. It continues to offer guests an authentic frontier town experience, including thrilling Wild West shootouts on Main Street, stagecoach rides, mesquite-broiled cowboy steaks, and much more.

Rawhide features a Roughriders stunt show through Main Street. Visitors to Rawhide can test their own sharp-shooting skills and give the mechanical bull a spin. Little ones might enjoy a burro ride or hay wagon ride through town.

Retail shops and the Rawhide General Store line Main Street, offering families plenty of snack, souvenir, and western apparel shopping options.

The steakhouse is open Thursday through Sunday for dinner, from 6pm-9:30pm. The dinner is complimented by live country music and dancing. Steaks, barbecue chicken, and baby back ribs are popular menu choices and come with western style fixin's.

If you're especially adventurous, try the rattlesnake or Rocky Mountain Oyster appetizers - you'll receive a certificate for bravery! Note: the rattlesnake tastes like chicken; the "oysters" - not so much!

Buckaroo Baskets for children 12 and under include a mixed green salad, choice of French fries or fresh fruit, a cold beverage, and a sheriff's badge. Entree selections for the kids' meals are chicken fingers, cheeseburger, hot dog, or macaroni and cheese.

Admission to Rawhide is free, but tickets must be purchased for the shows and most attractions. A Town Pass offers unlimited shows and attractions for one day, or purchase individual show and attraction tickets if only taking in a one or two things. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket booth on Main Street.

The town frequently hosts special events and festivals. Most special events are free, but some do require paid admission.

Group tours and field trips are easily arranged by calling ahead.

Lil' buckaroos can celebrate their birthdays cowboy-style with Rawhide's party packages. The basic plan includes a 1-1/2 hour party in the Little Red Schoolhouse, a party host, personalized western theme cake (1/4 sheet), lemonade, burgers or hot dogs with chips, sheriff badges, party favors, balloons, goody bags, and choice of two hosted activities. Pricing and details are available online.
