Raymond James Stadium is home to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the University of South Florida Bulls football team, the New Year's Day Outback Bowl, as well as concerts and special events.
The stadium is home to one of the most unique, and recognizable stadium features ever created, a $3 million, 103-foot-long pirate ship located in the north end zone of the stadium. The ship marks the location of
Buccaneer Cove, an area that houses a variety of
stadium concessions and interactive entertainment areas, located in an area resembling 1800s fishing village.
Be sure to swing the kids past the interactive talking parrot that's perched on the ship's stern. Also direct their attention to the ship
when the Bucs score. At that time, the eyes of the menacing skull figurehead on the boat's prow glow red and smoke swirls from its toothy mouth, cannons fire, and confetti, mini-footballs and Bucs merchandise fly into the stands.
Tickets for most events are available online and in person through
Ticketmaster, or at the stadium box office, located at One Buccaneer Place in Tampa.
