Opened in 1972, Reptile World Serpentarium began as a research facility and venom collection agency. Because of the number of people who came to the door, asking for tours, the facility opened its doors to the public four years later.
Snakes on display include adders, anacondas, rattlesnakes, pythons, boas, cobras, copperheads, coral snakes, and more. Visitors can also see a 14-foot gator, turtles, and iguanas, and daily venom "milking" demonstrations, during which employees collect snake venom to be used for the production of anti-venom.
