The
Rio Grande Pool is a 25 meter shallow pool.
Pool Hours: Closed for the winter. Will reopen in May 2005. Albuquerque's
Learn to Swim Program offers a variety of
swim lessons including: Parent Tot (6 months-age 3), Preschool (ages 3-5), and Waves 1-7 (based on skill level). Each pool offers most levels during the summer and Los Altos, West Mesa, and Valley offer most levels during the summer and winter. Registration for summer lessons usually begins in April. Check our
Calendar for details or contact the individual pool for registration information. Children (6-14) completing Wave 6 or higher are encouraged to participate in the City of Albuquerque Swim League or Water Polo League.
Parties: City of Albuqerque Pools rent for $50 per hour with a two hour minimum. Rental includes lifeguards. Contact the individual pool for reservations. The West Mesa Aquatic Center is $100 and hour with a minimum of two hours. West Mesa also offers birthday party packages that range from $3.99-$6.99 per child (depending on the menu you choose).
Membership: Annual and Monthly packages are available. An annual family membership is $250, monthly is $45. Annual memberships for tots to teens range from $20-$130 and monthly memberships range from $3-$19.
