about Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum:
This museum, located on
Fisherman's Wharf for forty years, is filled with oddities that may fascinate your child, including a one-third scale match stick cable car,
a shrunken human torso once owned by Ernest Hemingway, a
dinosaur made from car bumpers, a walk through a
kaleidoscope tunnel.
tips:
Younger children may find this too frightening to enjoy. Probably best for children 8 and up.
getting there:
Between Mason and Taylor. Take Bus 32 from the Ferry building, or take a cable car from Powell Street to the end of the line. Or ride the F-line in from Market Street. he Pier 39 parking is expensive ($30-$35 all day), however there are affordable parking garages in the area.
