The resort underwent a $45 million expansion in 2007 to add a Grand Spa, an additional swimming pool, three new restaurants, and expanded Ritz Kids and a new Ritz Teen programs.

Located right on the ocean in Palm Beach, the Ritz-Carlton is the area's only Mobil Five-Star, AAA Diamond resort.

The Ritz Kidz program, for kids ages five to 12, features supervised activities including fun sports, games, arts and crafts, swimming pool play, nature tours and exciting adventures geared to entice the younger traveler. Parents can choose between a full-day or half-day camp. Also available is the VIK Night Out on Saturdays, where kids can get away for a night of fun while parents can have a peaceful dinner. Activities include dinner, a movie, and games.
