River Oaks Academy accepts students with learning difficulties and/or attention deficit disorders, serving students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. Individual and small group learning environments are offered to best meet the needs for students that may require individualized instruction. The Academy also provides therapeutic activities for children and adolescents with an emphasis on enhancing social skills.

High school students seeking college admission are offered an enriched curriculum, while those seeking to enter the workforce upon graduation are offered a career track.

The school years runs from August to the beginning of June. The Academy also offers a specialized summer camp for children ages five to 15 with ADD/ADHD.
