It's small, but independent River Oaks Bookstore has a comfortable, neighborly atmosphere. Couches and complimentary coffee and tea invite folks to stay awhile, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The store features mostly new books, but with some second-hand books as well, including a glass case containing rare and collectible items.
The children's section is only one aisle, but contains a selection of good picture books, young adult fiction, and parenting books. A restroom is available for customers.
