Amidst the shade of majestic oak trees, River Oaks Park is a real gem of a neighborhood park. The playground area has swings, benches, a little grassy hill, water fountains, and enough space for kids to run or just wander around, exploring nature - without wandering off, because a fence surrounds this section of the park.
The rest of the park features a playing field, strolling path, picnic tables and barbecue pits, a tennis court, volleyball court, basketball court, and community center.

getting there:
The Park backs up against Westheimer Road about one block west of Buffalo Speedway, but to access the park from Westheimer, turn north on Larchmont Road, then left on Locke Lane.
