Riverdale Country School currently enrolls approximately 1060 students: 375 in the Lower School and 685 in the Middle and Upper Schools. The school is chartered by the New York State Board of Regents and accredited by the New York State Association of Independent Schools.

The campus - the largest one in the NYC area - is located in a beautiful wooded setting, near Wave Hill, in Riverdale. Sports offered include baseball, basketball, fencing, field hockey, football, volleyball, lacrosse, soccer softball, golf, cross-country running, wrestling, tennis (on outdoor courts), and swimming in a six-lane, 25-meter swimming pool.

The school offers a liberal arts education, from the fundamentals through college prep, and art, music, and drama are integral parts of all students' programs.
