Located in the heart of Roswell, this newer park is home to two separate and well-appointed playgrounds, one for smaller kids (nautical theme) and one for big ones (animal theme). Plenty of picnic areas abound, there is a wide open, grassy field, and the park plays host to numerous festivals and concerts throughout the year.
A walking/biking trail takes you underneath Roswell Road to a beautiful path next to the Chattahoochee River.
Be forewarned, with such a new park, the young landscaping offers little shade.

tips:
Take the trail that brings you under Roswell road and onto Azalea Drive right by the Chattachoochee. Feed the ducks! And don't forget sunscreen; the Riverside playground areas offer little shade.
getting there:
From GA-400 North, take the Northridge Road exit (#6). Take Northridge Road toward Dunwoody, turn right on Roswell Road, then turn right Riverside Drive. The park is immediately on the right.
