Riverside, the Farnsley-Moremen Landing is a 300-acre site on the Ohio River southwest of downtown Louisville.
The landing highlights the area's 19th-century history, when the Ohio River was a superhighway carrying goods, people and ideas throughout America, especially west. A tour here also explains the
site's archaeological history, of particular interest on many of the
school and scouting tours held at the landing.
The landing includes the historic Farnsley-Moremen House, built circa 1837, and its many gardens.
Speaking of gardens, that's just one spot where
volunteers can help out at
Riverside. Interested volunteers can contact Renee Butterworth (502.935.6809) for information about available volunteer opportunities.
