About Robot Village

Robot Village offers a wide range of award-winning robot products and services in a kid-friendly environment; educational robot kits, robot toys, and robot books are all represented. Product demos provide an interactive experience. The store's Bot-Building stations give kids an opportunity to build robots and make them come alive. Tools and guidance are provided to help along the way; reservations are required. Afterschool workshops and summer camp offer kids educational opportunities to build robots and learn about motors, sensors, gears, wires, and electricity. Robot Village also hosts offsite robot birthday parties that include robot demos... and each child gets to take home a robot they create! Call the store for details.

The people at robot village aren't just great with kids, they're also really knowledgeable about robots.

We visited Robot Village after reading about it on the Internet. My 5 year old son built a robot, explored and found other robots to try... having a great time! The place is low key on the outside, but if your child likes to build, this is a great place! The people there are very friendly.

We heard about Robot Village from a friend and loved our visit there. They have all types of robot products that you can't find in any other stores here. They had lots of products out so we could see for ourselves how they work. We're planning to build a robot next time we're at the store! The staff was friendly and available to answer our questions about what products would be best for our kids.

I visited RV hoping to find really interesting and unique robot toys and products, but they really don't have anything you can't find online (or at radio shack for that matter) for 20% less.

I had been a bit nervous about our kid's party booked at robot village on bway/81st st (the staff had trouble with email back and forth) and previous reviews had been mixed. On the day the whole thing worked out well. The party space (which I think they will soon not be using) was in an office building separate from the robot village 'store' (the building is a bit 'gritty' but serviceable). Robot village provided 3 party organisers for a group of 14 kids and they were highly competent. The kids had a great time with little robot q+a, followed by making a model each, then a bite to eat and playtime. The main presenter was very entertaining, and the three together kept very good order. The whole thing was a two hour party, and I think it went very well costing about 700 bucks.

As the owner of Robot Village, I'm puzzled by the two reader comments below. We have no policy about not allowing birthday cake or other food at our parties, and every child who has taken our workshops has left with a smile. If a parent has a question or concern, our ears are always open - we want to learn and grow and make Robot Village a place where people are educated about robots and have a great experience. I hope parents will visit Robot Village and see this for themselves.

I was very disappointed when we had my son's birthday party at Robot Village. It was very expensive and the children seemed bored. Also, they didn't want me to have food in the store, and made me pay quite a bit extra to have it. What's a birthday party without cake?

My experience at Robot Village was terrible! The children in my son's class ran wild and learned little. The staff was great, but there are much better after school programs out there!

My husband and I were very impressed with the teaching staff at Robot Village. The young instructors kept a tight ship while paying personal attention to each child, praising them for good work and encouraging them to ask questions on how things worked.
