Rochambeau Playground354

The danger with Rochambeau is the skateboarders, who are a menace to toddlers. It's not allowed but they threaten park personnel and neighbors who complain (myself among them). Since they arrived in droves the playground has started to decline (hanging tennis, smashed up plants, drugs, etc.)

I think this has to be the best toddler playground I have seen in the city. I love how it is separated from the older kids play area so little walkers and even crawlers can play without the bigger rougher kids pushing them over. It is also great for moms with a young baby and a toddler since the fence allows then to nurse their baby and watch while their toddler plays in a safe confined area.

I felt kind of closed in when it gets crowded since it's a small area but loved the infant/toddler play area.

This is one of the best playgrounds in the City. It has two full sized basketball courts and a tennis court. There are two separate areas for kids to play (one for under 4yrs old and the other for old kids). There is one hazard there--some genius put the sandbox and a mechnical sand moving crane right next to the main walkway in the toddler area that makes it very slippery. Although most of this area is padded or filled with sand, this area is a broken leg/lawsuit waiting to happen. Maybe I shouldn't give any shysters ideas.
