The Rock Creek Tennis Center has a total of 25 outdoor tennis courts: ten hard courts and 15 clay courts. Five indoor courts are heated and available during the winter season. Clay courts are available until 8pm. The hard courts are lighted and are available until closing. Courts must be reserved in advance, and seasonal fees apply. The facility rents ball machines during the summer season, and loaner racquets are available at the Pro Shop. The snack bar, located next to the Pro Shop, is open daily. The Washington Tennis & Education Foundation, which is conveniently located next to the Pro Shop, offers a variety of tennis programs for children. Sessions generally run for ten weeks; classes are for children ages five and older, at beginner or intermediate levels.
