Rossi Pool & Playground in San Francisco, CA 94118
(4 reviews)
About Rossi Pool & Playground
The Rossi Playground is one of the nicest in town thanks to grassy grounds and play equipment that's in good shape. In addition to a large ball field, it has a pool, tennis courts, and a sand play area with climbing structures. Across the street is South Rossi, another play area with climbing structures.
Open, or recreation swim times, are limited and vary by season. Call ahead for information. Be warned that it is sometimes very hard to get anyone on the phone, but hours are listed on the machine. See city swimming pools.
Tips
Rossi offers inexpensive swim classes, but the schedule varies often based on teacher availability. Call to get the current schedule and costs.
Getting There
Cross street is Anza. Street parking is generally available. Muni 33

- and im very impressed with the new layout and design of the newly constructed park they have a section for children, they have tennis courts, and basketball courts, two baseball fields, and a clean safe indoor swimming pool

[Submitted by eric case3/13/08 - The newly reopened playground is very nice with good equipment. We tried to go to the pool but had to turn back -- kids under 48" tall must be accompanied by an adult! Considering there was one of me with three kids under 48" it was impossible despite the fact that they are good swimmers. The pool looked nice enough. Free swim is $5 per family.

[Submitted by Anonymous7/09/07 - The play structures are old, dated and worn out, with landscaping that's creeping in on the two bouncy toys. And those are beginning to rust. The pool is okay considering the price, but if you're with a toddler as I was, be prepared to be mobbed by unruly school groups. The locker rooms are wet concrete floors, and as far as I could tell not heated. Overall not nearly as good as other city playgrounds. I'd give it a 4 on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being something like the Walter Hass or Alamo Square playgrounds.
