The Roxborough branch offers an indoor heated pool, a gymnasium, free babysitting to Full Privilege Members , childcare facilities, in addition to sports and swimming programs for all ages.
Kids fitness/nutrition classes are offered for ages 7 and up. Children can begin swimming lessons at six months of age.
Sports programs include Pee Wee Sports, a parent/child program for children ages three to four, including hockey, soccer, and basketball. Youth sports programs for ages five to 12 include the above plus flag football and kickball. Youth dance, a combination of ballet, tap, and jazz, if open to children ages five and up.
Preschool movement education is designed to develop a child's social physical skills through the use of creative games and activities in a fun, safe, non-competitive environment. The classes include the Tiny Tumblers, for kids one to two years old, Tumble Tots for kids ages two to three, and Little Gymers/Gymers for kids ages three to five years old.
Youth and teen activities include youth dances, teen nights, and teen aquatics programs such as Red Cross lifeguarding certification and swim lessons. In addition, the Y offers lessons in box aerobics, leaders club and Black Achievers.
The YMCA childcare center is NAEYC accredited. Full-day, year-round care is available for children ages 18 months to five years. The Y also offers before and afterschool care for children in full Kindergarten and grades one through seven. Supervised transportation to and from most area schools can also be provided. The Roxborough YMCA accepts CCIS subsidies.
Summer day camp is available for children ages three to 17 for 10 weeks each summer. Offerings include Sports Camp, Cooking Camp, Special Needs Camp, Teen Camp, Leaders in Training Camp, Frontier Camp, Mad Scientist Camp & Preschool Camp. Before and Aftercare is also available.
