The lower-level youth services area of the Royal Oak Public Library is large and well-designed. The shelves and librarian's desk are low; a terrific activity room has been designed for storytimes, crafts, and other fun; and there is plenty of creative seating - we especially appreciate the long benches at the computers that allow for more than one wiggly behind at a terminal.
The area for the littlest of patrons is spacious and includes tables for puzzles and coloring and computers for playing games; WiFi is available. There are self check-out stations on both levels of the library.
With an updated library comes a fabulous new website. Search for resources before heading into the library, browse through recommended titles, and check your account online.
