about Royal Oak Public Library:

The lower-level youth services area of the Royal Oak Public Library is large and well-designed. The shelves and librarian's desk are low; a terrific activity room has been designed for storytimes, crafts, and other fun; and there is plenty of creative seating - we especially appreciate the long benches at the computers that allow for more than one wiggly behind at a terminal.

The area for the littlest of patrons is spacious and includes tables for puzzles and coloring and computers for playing games; WiFi is available. There are self check-out stations on both levels of the library.

With an updated library comes a fabulous new website. Search for resources before heading into the library, browse through recommended titles, and check your account online.

getting there:

Located on the south side of 11 Mile Road, just east of Main Street. There are public parking lots directly east and west of the library. From early evening on, you'll have better luck finding parking in the lot just east of Troy Street.
