If you're looking for a day of watery fun, leave the sunscreen at home and head to Sahara Sam's Oasis Indoor Water Park. Located in Berlin Township, New Jersey, Sahara Sam's offers 11 fun-filled water rides and attractions for kids of all ages, an arcade with video and redemption games, and a snack bar.
Lizard Lagoon, a special area reserved just for toddlers and preschoolers, includes tiny slides, water geysers, swings, and a wading area. Older kids can enjoy the Tim-Buk-Tu Tree Fort, a collection of water amusements that includes a 1,000-gallon tipping bucket; the Sam's Slam Dunker water basketball court; the Snake Eyes water slides; the lazy river-like Congo Bongo River Ride; the Crocodile Flats rope obstacle course; the Mount Kilimanjaro family raft ride; and more.
Adults, teens, and kids (ages eight and up) can try Sam's Cyclone Flow Rider, a unique machine that enables riders to put their boogie board and/or surfing skills to the test on a real, non-stop wave! There's no additional fee for the Flow Rider, but guests are required to sign a waiver (available inside the water park, near the snack bar) and obtain a special wristband beforehand.
The snack bar at Sam's sells a variety of reasonably-priced items, including pizza, hot dogs, sandwiches and wraps, French fries, cookies, soft pretzels, and beverages.
Restrooms and changing facilities are available inside the water park; large and small lockers can be rented for an additional fee. Party packages at Sahara Sam's feature admission to the water park, a "Party Ambassador," arcade game cards, pizza, beverages, locker rentals, access to a private party room, and more.
