What's a billiken, you ask? To regular folk, it's a chubby character with pixie ears, fat cheeks, and an ear-to-ear grin. To St. Louisans, it's the name of the Saint Louis University athletic teams, including men's and women's soccer, field hockey, and softball, among many others. In this city, games of the men's Billikens basketball team are a big draw. The team plays inside Scottrade Center and provides great college hoop action. Fans ages 13 and under can join the Billiken Kids Club, which costs $20 and provides members with a t-shirt, two free tickets to three select men's basketball games, newsletter subscription, access to Billiken Kids Club events, and more.
