Closed The first North American branch of
Sakae Sushi, a popular Southeast Asian chain of affordably-priced sushi emporiums, is located in the Chrysler Building, and the second, in Greenwich Village, near
Washington Square Park.
Sakae Sushi's Japanese specialties are served via
kaiten - a 97-foot conveyor belt that snakes around the restaurant - sure to be a big hit with the kids. Dishes are color-coded to indicate the price ($1.90 for multi-color; $3.90 for pink; and $6.90 for red) and choices can be ordered on a flat screen menu.
Kids' menu meals, priced at $10.90, are served in "Kiddy Sets" - dishes that resemble a train, airplane, or fire engine!
Limited delivery is available; phone for further information.
