The Salt Lake Children's Choir is made up of boys and girls between the ages of eight and 15. The founder/director, Ralph B. Woodward, is a singer, horn player, composer, and a proven vocal teacher for young voices. The choir is considered one of the finest ensembles of its kind in America. It has been featured at several American Choral Director's Association conventions (a huge honor), has recorded with the Utah Symphony, and has been featured on Public Radio International.

Mr. Woodward is the only teacher for the choir members, therefore choir size is limited. Children perform in one of two ensembles, which total approximately 100 singers. Cost varies, depending on which ensemble the child is selected for. Limited scholarships are available, based on proven need. The choirs rehearse in the afterschool hours on Tuesday or Wednesday at the Columbus Community Center in South Salt Lake. At major local concerts, both ensembles perform together.

General auditions are held in early August. Mid-season openings, if available, are filled in January. Call for audition location and appointments.
