Located on the west side of
Temple Square, the home of the
Mormon Tabernacle Choir was built by nineteenth century pioneers and has been a popular attraction ever since. Temple Square tours visit the
Tabernacle when it is not in use for something else.
Organ Recitals are given daily at 12n, and the
Tabernacle Choir broadcasts still originate here every Sunday at 9:30am as long as the choir isn't traveling. Recitals are also held at 2pm from late May through late September. Broadcasts are open to everyone ages eight and up. Choir practices are also open to the public. Practices take place on Thursday nights at 8pm.
Note: the building is closed for 45 minutes prior to organ recitals in order to allow for rehearsal time.
