See the Ship Channel from a whole new perspective. The Port of Houston Authority's public tour boat takes visitors on a spectacular waterborne tour of one of the busiest ports in the world. Sightseers can enjoy passing views of international cargo vessels and operations at the port's Turning Basin Terminal, from air-conditioned lounge seating or standing room on the boat's rear deck.
Tours last 90 minutes. No food or drinks are allowed, but a free beverage is provided during the tour.
While the tour is free, reservations are required in advance. Register online anytime or call Mon-Thu, 8am-5pm.
Passengers should arrive at least 15-30 minutes before the tour launches to check in through security. Enhanced port security measures require photo identification for passengers ages 18 and older.

getting there:
Exit East Loop 610 at Clinton Drive. Proceed west on Clinton, past McCarty, to Gate 8. Enter Gate 8 and stay to the right. A security guard and signs direct you to the pavilion.
