Four Missions serve as a bridge to the past: Mission San José, Mission Concepcion, Mission San Juan, and Mission Espada, each at a different location. Park Rangers and docents lead guided tours of the missions frequently throughout the day.

From Mission Concepcion to Mission Espada, eight miles of dedicated paved pathways are reserved for the hiker and biker (note, that's 16 miles, round trip. Plan accordingly!). An easy walk or ride, and not too hilly, it's suitable for all ages. Pick up a free activity booklet at each mission; school-aged children can become Park Junior Rangers.
