The Convention Center is a busy place, hosting nearly 300 events annually. Among them is a trio of ever-popular public shows: the San Diego International Auto Show in late December, the San Diego Boat Show in January, and Comic Con International every July. Situated alongside the San Diego Harbor, the Convention Center is designed to look like a giant cruise ship with its billowing white sails and large, open-air deck that make it one of the most recognizable landmarks on the San Diego skyline. Climb the Grand Staircase or ride the inclined elevator to the top where a pedestrian Skywalk leads to panoramic views of the waterfront.
