This is the largest of the San Diego Visitors' Centers and located next to a great playground in East Mission Bay. The staff provides information about various local activities, special events, camping, and recreational options. It also gives explicit directions on getting where you want to go. Additionally, they can help arrange car rentals and lodgings in a hotel or motel, occasionally at a 50% discount. What we like best are its maps, among the most detailed in town.
tips:
You may buy discounted tickets here to many major attractions, including the San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park, SeaWorld, Old Town Trolley Tours, San Diego Harbor Excursion, Hornblower Cruises and Legoland.
getting there:
From I-5 exit at Clairemont Drive and head west. Clairemont Drive ends in the Center's driveway.
