about San Francisco Conservatory of Dance:

The Conservatory of Dance provides training in classical ballet, contemporary dance, and choreographic composition with performance opportunities each semester.

The Conservatory offers weekly classes for children ages two to six, creative dance workshops for children ages nine to 12, ballet classes for intermediate and advanced dancers, and summer intensive programs for dancers ages 14 to 23.

Public Transportation --BART Civic Center Station --MUNI Civic Center Station (both at the intersection of Eighth Street and Market Street)

Accessible by MUNI Bus lines 12, 14, 14L, 19, 26, 47

Parking: Street parking is often available during the day, both coin-metered (up to 1-hour) and non-metered (limited to 2 hours without a residential parking permit for the area), and is always available and free after 6pm.

The City Parking lot at 1054 Mission, between Sixth and Seventh (next to the Court of Appeals) charges $7 per day.

The City Parking garage beneath Civic Center Park, with entrances on both Grove Street and McAllister Street (between Polk Street and Larkin Street), charges by the hour. Gaining Access to SFCD's Studios: As the door to the building remains locked at all times, students and visitors must call upstairs using the intercom at the front door in order to be buzzed in. Take the elevator to the second floor and find the studios in #205 and #270.
