about San Xavier del Bac Mission:

The Mission San Xavier del Bac is acclaimed as the finest example of mission architecture in the United States. It was built by the Jesuit missionary and explorer Father Eusebio Francisco Kino. Construction of the present church as started in 1783 and completed in 1797. It is an active parish; see the website for a mass schedule. The San Xavier Mission School is a Catholic school that is an extension of San Xavier del Bac Mission. It serves grades K-8.

Located on San Xavier Road and Little Nogales Drive, on the Tohono O'Odham Indian Reservation.
