By day a mild-mannered extra-wide grassy median, from time to time the Sandy City South Towne Promenade meets the needs of the community and becomes the site of Sandy City celebrations and other outdoor events. It lays between Sandy City Hall (on the north end) and the South Towne Center.
getting there:
From I-15, take the 10600 South exit and head east. Turn left on State Street, then left again on 10000 South. Park at the South Towne Mall or the South Towne Marketplace (Target, Barnes & Noble, etc.). Or take TRAX to the South Towne station. Walk down the hill to State Street, then continue across until you get to the Promenade.
