Sandy City was established in 1893, and the Sandy Museum displays pieces of the city's history, dating all the way back to the city's beginning. Children can get a glimpse of what it was like to live in Sandy in the late 1800s and early 1900s. While the displays aren't hands-on, kids still get excited about seeing antique items like the old switchboard and toys.
After browsing through the museum's displays, don't forget to stop in the gift shop. Old-fashioned candies and Sandy City-related gifts can be purchased in the shop. The store is open during museum hours.
The two-story building that houses the Sandy Museum was built over 100 years ago.
While the museum is free, donations are appreciated. Sandy Museum is available for private tours outside of the museum's regular operating hours. Call to arrange a tour.

getting there:
Located in historic Sandy. From I-15, exit at 9000 South and head east. Turn left on State Street, then right on Main Street. The museum is on the southwest corner of Main and Center Streets.
