Santa Monica Place is the shopping mall at the south end of Third Street Promenade. A major remodel culminating in the 2010 reopening makes this shopping center more of a destination than one might remember.
Anchor stores are Bloomingdale's and Nordstom - or, from kids' height, the Disney Store.
The top floor has a wonderful view of the ocean, and lots of fun places to sit and enjoy it with a tray of food court fare, including a see-through fireplace and glass booths.

tips:
Three hours of free parking are available in the mall lot, except after 5pm, Thu-Sun, when a $3 charge applies. Parking validations are available at Guest Services with any same day purchase of $25 or more at any Santa Monica Place shop or eatery.
getting there:
Santa Monica Place is on Broadway at south end of Third Street. Take the 10 freeway, exit 5th Street. Continue north on 5th to Broadway. Turn left on Broadway, parking lot entrance will be on left side.
