The Sarah P Duke Gardens are divided into four major areas: the original Terraces and their immediate surroundings, the HL Blomquist Garden of Native Plants, the William L. Culberson Asiatic Arboretum, and the Doris Duke Center Gardens - all contributing to the five miles of walks, pathways, and seasonal splendor.
The gardens offer a variety of programs for children, including tours, scavenger hunts, sensory walks, games, in-depth explorations, classroom programs, amphitheater programs, story times, camp (for kids ages eight to 11, during the month of June, at a fee of $110 for members; $120 for non-members), preschool workshops, performances, and more.
