The Schlitz Audubon Nature Center is a 185-acre stretch of untouched land along the shore of Lake Michigan, about 15 minutes north of downtown Milwaukee. The center offers families a chance to hike six miles of trails, walk along the beach, and enjoy a spectacular view from a 60-foot observation tower.
The center offers programs and workshops and nature exhibits, and kids can meet their resident raptors (eagles, owls, and more). Hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and geocaching activities are also available.
