Schmidt's Sausage Haus, in the heart of German Village, is a Columbus-area tradition and one of our favorite restaurants for special occasions and just plain old dinners. Sometimes - particularly on big OSU game days - the place gets downright rowdy (and very crowded) but the carryout service is perfectly fine by us, too. The worst thing about Schmidt's is trying to save room for the giant, buttery, fluffy cream puff, however, it's a challenge we're always willing to take.
