about Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMoCA):

The Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art has five galleries showcasing the art, architecture, and design of our time. The museum resides in the same complex as the Scottsdale Center for the Arts and provides a global artistic focus unique to Arizona's cultural scene.

SMoCA offers a wide variety of educational programs and special events for adults and families, including lectures, docent-led tours, workshops, and classes.

The Store @ SMoCA sells signature gifts and decor, jewelry, and books on art, architecture, pop culture, and more.

Families can visit the museum for free on Thursdays, courtesy of the Phoenix New Times.

getting there:

Located in downtown Scottsdale near the corner of Drinkwater Boulevard and 2nd Street, adjacent to the Scottsdale Center for the Arts. Drinkwater is east of Scottsdale Road, and 2nd Street is just south of Indian School Road.
