about Scroungers' Center for Reusable Art Parts (SCRAP):

A treasure trove of art materials for dedicated scroungers and curious kids alike. The founders of SCRAP converted an old warehouse into a sort of holding pen for fabric, glass, wood, plastic, cardboard, tile, and paper for the express purpose of inspiring the artist in you. (And to demonstrate a cool recycling option.) If that isn't enough to get your family churning out new objets d'art, you can gain inspiration from the wall of samples made during one of SCRAP's ongoing workshops. The children's workshops are generally held through schools.

getting there:

From Bayshore Blvd, head east on Oakdale, and turn left on Toland. The entrance is on Newcomb.
