About Sea Bowl
Bowling fans - and their kids - like Sea Bowl. Cheerier and better lit than most bowling centers, Sea Bowl offers 32 lanes (with or without bumpers), plus a billiard room and video arcade. There's also an onsite restaurant so you can throw birthday parties and events without having to order in pizza.
It's one of the most popular spots on the birthday party circuit, with a staff that's quite willing to accommodate the birthday girls and boys. Also offers day camps.

Tips
Check out the Astro Bowl, a weekly event that transforms run-of-the-mill bowling into something preteens and teens will find really cool, thanks to a small but dizzying light show and big sound system.
Getting There
From San Francisco, Marin or the East Bay take Hwy 280 south to Hwy 1, then follow the instructions above. From the Peninsula or South Bay take Hwy 280 north to Hwy 1.If you are traveling south on Hwy 1, approximately 5 miles from the top of the freeway, look for the Kentucky Fried Chicken on your right and a Shell Station on the left. At the stoplight, make a left on Fassler. Go up the hill staying on the right lane, about 200 feet up the hill, make the 1st right turn. There's plenty of free parking in the lot.

- Went to a BD party here and it was really well run. The place is way nicer than any other bowling center I've been to. Nicely lit, great staff, GREAT FOOD at the restaurant, none of the usual greasy spoon stuff. They also have an arcade. Hours of entertainment for not a lot of $$$

[Submitted by pyrotech2/17/08 - Sea Bowl is a perfect destination for a family activity. It's only 15 minutes from our home in San Francisco. My kids are 11 and 13 and they never want to leave once they get there. Always great food and a safe, very friendly environment. Try the nachos!

[Submitted by SF Mom12/26/07 - We took an impromptu trip to Sea Bowl on Memorial Day. Grandparents, parents, and two boys ages 3 1/2 and 22 mos. Everyone had a fantastic time. Not only do they have bumpers, they have a ramp for the little kids to use to roll the bowl, allowing them to have success on every frame. Plus they had bowling shoes for the toddler that were beyond adorable. Fantastic indoor activity.
