The best thing about the Seaport Children's Center is its core staff of cheerful young people who love everything about The South Street Seaport. Call for information on free programs, which generally run from 1pm-4pm. Pirate Parties include two attendants, tablecloths, loot bags, and a pirate flag for the birthday pirate. Parties can accommodate up to 20 children and last for two hours. Children board one of the Museum's tall ships to celebrate; guests can come dressed as pirates or they can get help from one of the Center's assistant pirates to dress the part. Pirate activities include a craft (making a pirate flag, searching the ship for hidden pirate treasure), and more. Call for current rates.
