about Sears Tower Sky Deck:
Some of us are vertically challenged, but if your child's mantra has been "up, up, UP," since birth, Sears Tower Sky Deck is the place to take in vast vistas from above. Sears was the world's tallest building till 1996, when the Petronas Towers went up in Malaysia.
On a clear day, you can see four states: Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan. Interactive exhibits are part of a multimillion dollar renovation, completed last summer.
tips:
The best time to visit is after 4pm; it's less crowded, and the city at sunset is pure magic.
getting there:
The easiest place to park is the Sears Tower parking garage. Its entrance is on Franklin, right across from the Sears Tower. You can spot it by the large blue "P" on the sign. Call 312.782.5570 for rates.
