Seattle Waldorf School offers education to children in parent and tot, preschool, kindergarten, and grades one-12. Based on the work of Rudolf Steiner, the curriculum focuses on a child's
educational, social, spiritual and artistic growth. Classes for grades pre-K to eight are offered at the school's North Seattle location, while two additional kindergartens are located near the
Woodland Park Zoo. After-school care is available.
Through a classical academic curriculum combined with fully integrated fine arts, world languages, movement, handwork, music and gardening, Waldorf students are
accompanied and nurtured through the full development of all their capacities: cognitive, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual. They are guided through this journey by a class teacher who ideally
stays with the class from grades one through eight, and develops with students and their families a relationship of collaboration, understanding, and mutual trust, serving the child's well-being and healthy development.
Special subject teachers contribute to the quality of the classroom experience, bringing students genuine artistic and practical experience in alignment with the subject taught by the class teacher.
Summer camps are offered to children ages five through eight and are open to outside families. Weekly themed camps feature arts and crafts activities, outdoor play, and storytimes, with occasional field trips. Camps are offered weekly, Jun-Aug.
