The Eastside's first full-time professional ensemble offers year-round stage entertainment on its intimate Art Deco stage. Families will probably be most interested in the SPROUTS Children's Theatre, which produces original musicals for kids four and up, who get to sit close to the stage so they can see. Kids under three are admitted only at Small Sibling performances. Buy tickets by calling the theatre, visiting the Box Office, or reserving online.

The company also offers performing arts education for children ages four-18, including school break programs and summer classes. Class options include singing, dancing, acting, or just creating characters for both experienced and inexperienced actors. Most classes include a performance of some kind on the final day. A current class schedule is posted online.

getting there:

Located in Redmond at Redmond Town Center, about 25 minutes east of Seattle by car. From I-5: Exit onto Highway 520 just north of downtown and take 520 eastbound to the West Lake Sammamish Parkway exit. Turn left at the bottom of the ramp and go back under 520. Turn right at the first light, onto Leary Way. Travel two blocks and turn right into Redmond Towne Center on Bear Creek Parkway. Take the first left, onto NE 74th Street.
