about Secret Garden Bookshop:
Since 1977, this independent bookstore has offered the personal service and knowledge of books that independents are known for. Look for a good selection of children's literature, and lots of board books.
Kids are welcome to sit at the small oak table and chairs in the back to check out the merchandise, or play with the box of toys. The Secret Garden isn't all about childrens' books, though; it also carries a collection of carefully selected adult literature, guidebooks, and non-fiction, as well as unusual cards and a small selection of toys and wooden puzzles.
The bookshop hosts author readings and book-signings. Ask about their complimentary gift-wrapping.
