About Sesame Place

Sesame Place the nation's only theme park based entirely on the award-winning television show Sesame Street. The park attractions include live shows, parades, activity centers, opportunities to meet Sesame Street characters, plenty of places to eat and shop, and all sorts of rides - both dry and wet.

Kids can dine with Big Bird and his friends during their visit as well. Call or check the website for a schedule, and be sure to make reservations in advance.

Season Passport memberships at various levels are available (and recommended) for those families who plan to visit the park more than once a year. Visit the website for details and prices.

Strollers and wheelchairs can be rented at the Finder's Keepers Gift Shop, located near the front gate of the park.

Coolers and picnic lunches are not allowed in the park, but a picnic area is available for guests outside the park, located adjacent to the Preferred Parking Lot. Just be sure to have hands stamped for re-admittance to the park.

And don't worry if it rains! With the Sunny Day Guarantee, visitors can return for free on another day during the same year if it rains for an hour or more during their visit.

Tips

Be sure to bring a swimsuit, swim shoes, and swim diapers for the wet rides, or at least a change of clothing! Also, paying extra to park in the preferred lot and bringing lunch to enjoy in the picnic area saves money on food purchases inside the park.

Getting There

We added this in on a week long trip with a grandmother, mother, 6 year old boy and 2 year old girl and it was well worth admission. We got our 2 day tickets online and stayed at the Comfort Inn--Sesame Place has a package deal with them on their website. Dine with the characters at least once...good food and lots of interaction with the top 6 characters. Wear or bring your bathing suits into the park to make the most of the water rides/areas. Put your older child in the parade--sign up at Hooper's Emporium. Best for kids 10 and under.
