A good choice if your plans include a visit to Universal Studios, the Sheraton Universal sits within the Studio's compound and offers a free shuttle bus service to and from the Park.
Room amenities include high speed internet access (for an additional per day fee), Nintendo and pay per view movies, a do-it-yourself coffee maker, and an excellent children's menu from room service.
A major renovation of the guest rooms is planned to begin in May 2007.
The hotel also has an outdoor heated pool.
The restaurant is dim and a bit shabby.

getting there:
From LAX: Take 405 North towards L.A.; once you pass the Skirball Center exit, stay in far right lane until freeway splits, and take 101 South (Los Angeles, not Ventura) to Lankershim Blvd exit. Turn right, then right again at signal, (Lankershim). The Hotel entrance sign is ahead on right. Turn right up the hill on Universal Hollywood Drive.
