We love SCP! My son, who is a high energy and creative sort of guy, has really done well here. Teacher Patty does so well with him and all of his classmates, and I'm so thrilled to have found such a patient caring teacher for my son's first teacher. Our class has a wonderful group of parents who I enjoy working and learning alongside of as well!

My two daughters have both attended this preschool and we've had a wonderful experience. It's a great combination of free play and educational opportunities. I liked the parent education piece too.

My daughter has attended the Shoreline Coop Preschool since we moved to the area two years ago. She couldn't be any happier and I've seen vast improvement in all areas of growth. She has developed confidence in her social, motor and reasoning skills. Teacher Patty is loved by all of the children. She is warm and loving without being condescending to the children or the parents...which was very important to me when I was looking for a school. My daughter and myself will truly miss Teacher Patty when my daughter "graduates", (yes, there is even a graduation to kindergarten) next year. Some of my favorite memories with my daughter over the past two years have been on field trips with the school. We've gone to the Pumpkin Farm, a Petting Farm, Gymnastics, with the Ranger at low-tide on Edmonds beach and even to see Cinderella at the Children's puppet theater. A few advantages: If your child has a younger sibling that can ride in a bjorn, you can bring him/her with you to class. Also, if you want to come to a class to see if your child will like it, you can! Most preschools let you come and see, but not your child. Also, Shoreline offers "non-participating parent" status. This means if you CAN'T participate, you don't have to. Plus, if your child isn't potty-trained, it's okay. You get to designate an adult change your child, someone you are comfortable with. You won't find a better experience for your child!

SCP is a warm, caring community of parents and children. Since 1961, parents have brought their children to this great preschool and I can see why! Teacher Patty is loved by the kids for her warmth, nurturing and respect she offers them and appreciated by the parents for her caring support and wonderful parenting tips. Since 1986 she has offered parents an amazing program, covering a well balanced curriculum, enabling the children to develop their emotional, social and cognitive skills. The kids have such fun, while learning in bright, colourful and spacious classrooms, which includes play areas such as: art, carpentry, sensory and water tables, dress up area, science table and a library. The kids enjoy musical instruments, songs, stories and small group time with parent helpers. The preschool also has a large indoor play gym, complete with tricyles, basketball hoops etc and an enclosed and supervised 'jungle gym' area featuring huge mats and tumbling equipment. What more could a happy preschooler ask for!!?? A highlight of the preschool were the monthly educational field trips, which were free to enrolled children and their parent and I was particularly impressed with SCP's Pre-K program (Inventors), which is outstanding and certainly prepares children for their next exciting adventure of Kindergarten...
