Sikes Adobe Farmstead is an historic 1870 house, currently being renovated by the
San Dieguito River Park. By visiting the Farmstead and taking a docent-led tour, visitors get a clear picture what the pioneer farm experience in Southern California was in the 19th century - and learn about the Sikes family that occupied the house. Currently, only the farmhouse, well, and windmill have been renovated; the farmhouse is gradually being furnished in period pieces. Next on the list to be restored are the creamery, corral, gardens, and farm. The museum farmstead is only open on the weekends. Reservations for the tours are not required.
