Recently I made a trip to Chicago for a wedding. The hotel where I stayed recommended Sitter's Studio. I too was uncomfortable using a service but Melissa was wonderful! She came very prepared. My 2 year old barely noticed my leaving. I arrived back to the hotel while he was napping, as soon as he woke looked for her. They leave you with a great detailed note of what occurred while you were away. I wound up using here twice during my week long visit. I look forward to trying the NY sitters.

We were certainly nervous leaving our two toddlers in the care of a sitter [non-family] and were thrilled with the excitement our children showed when we told them Mary would be returning a second time. In fact, our son requested that we bring her home with us.
The children really enjoyed their time with her and keep asking about "Miss Mary".

My husband & I took our two daughters to NYC, 10/07. Sitters not only arranged for a responsible babysitter but also gave us suggestions for kid-friendly entertainment in the city. Our sitter was not only artistic, but she oversaw our 9 year old as she did her homework, so she would keep up on her work while on vacation. This company is a TRUE GEM for parents who want to take their kids with them to the city for family fun in the daytime but still want to go out at night for dinner. It was a costly expense, but then again, would you put a price on the safety and well-being of your children? My highest praise to Sitters Studio for their superior service!

We used Sitters in the City twice so far and have been very impressed with the quality of the sitters and the service provided. Both sitters were experienced, warm, caring, and trained in infant CPR. Best of all, the feedback from our kids (well, one anyway, the other is a baby) was very positive! The rate is $18/hour, which may be on the high side, but there is no fee to sign up for the service and it's great to have the peace of mind that our kids are cared for by wonderful qualified sitters.

I used this agency when recently visiting New York for work, with my 7-year-old daughter. The babysitter was wonderful, and at my request took my daughter sight-seeing around the city, but only to child-appropriate places and activities. I appreciated the customized service, and that my daughter was safe and having fun with her sitter while I worked. The agency's system is also well-organized, I made arrangements by e-mail over long distance with them.

Sitters in the City is a great organization. I love knowing that my children are in safe hands, and they will have a great time. Every time I used the agency my kids have a blast with their sitter, and I have more fun while I'm out because I'm not constantly worrying about the children. The reassurance is worth every penny.
