The Skate 309 roller skating rink offers open skate hours as well as a speed skating team, youth and adult hockey, indoor soccer, and flag football. The facility also features a game arcade and Roo's Play Place, a large indoor playground, for kids ages 10 and under. On Friday nights, Skate 309 hosts dodge ball, dancing, and skating for kids ages 10 to 15. Classes: Morning and afternoon Tots Roller Skating classes are available Monday through Thursday. Eight-week sessions are $95 and include skate rental, a t-shirt, instruction, games, a snack, and fun time in the FunZone each week. Parties: The Super Skate or Super FunZone Play Place Party Packages cost $95 for a minimum of eight guests, and include admission and skate rentals or access to the FunZone Play Place Area for 45 minutes. Both packages include invitations, paper goods, 309 discount passes, a party host, pizza, soft drinks, and arcade tokens for each guest. The birthday child can skate with the 309 mascot, Roller Roo, and receives a balloon bouquet. Admission is free for all parents; skate rental for adults is not included. Other party options, such as additional tokens and goody bags, are available for additional fees. Camp: Skate 309 offers a variety of fun, game-related activities for boys and girls ages four to 12 at 309 Summer Day Camp, held in 309's state-of-the-art facility in Line Lexington. The air-conditioned facility includes a 15,000-square-foot indoor skating surface with an arcade area, indoor and outdoor activities area, and a snack bar. Activities include soccer, roller skating, basketball, flag football, arts and crafts, Ultimate Frisbee, volleyball, air hockey, ping pong, floor hockey, board games, free play, and weekly swimming. The camp's experienced counselors are trained in CPR and first aid. Daily and weekly rates are available.
