The Skipjack Martha Lewis is a V-bottom, two sail bateau (skipjack), and is one of the few remaining working dredge boats that make up the Chesapeake Bay oyster fleet. Martha Lewis is a glimpse of the area's unique Bay heritage, an instrument adeptly able to communicate a tradition that is vanishing before our eyes, and a working classroom for estuarine studies and environmental exploration.

In addition to offering a Discovery Classroom Series, regular cruises, and the occasional chance to go oyster dredging, the Martha Lewis holds numerous events for kids during the summer months.
